Invisible in AI answers at launch, named and cited above its competitors seven days later. Trials hit 41× the April baseline, and better than one in three demos in the latest cohort became a real opportunity.
Choicely is an AI app builder for teams that need real native iOS and Android apps: media brands, events, contests, fan engagement and voting, built without an engineering department.
Their buyers no longer start on Google. They ask an assistant which tool to use, and take the shortlist it gives them.
On two of the four buying conversations that matter most, Choicely had zero presence. Not low presence, zero. Ask an assistant for the best tool for a team use case, or the best option for a non-technical buyer, and the brand simply did not come back.
On the two where it did appear, it was losing the source battle: competitor domains were cited more often than choicely.com. In a category where the assistant writes the shortlist, being uncited is being unconsidered.
Three moves, in order, executed inside a single week so the before and after could be measured rather than asserted.

What we walk through
Hundreds of prompts tracked across every major engine, grouped into the four conversations that decide a shortlist: two competitor alternatives sets and two audience-defined ones. Every blank cell became a build target with an owner and a date.
A small batch of bottom-of-funnel pages shipped against those gaps. Within two weeks all of them were indexed and ranking in the top three to five for their target queries.
Citations and brand mentions
Engines cite a page before they consistently recommend the brand, so the pages were written for the citation: comparative specifics, direct answers to the prompt phrasing, and the detail an engine needs before it will name a vendor.
It worked in that order. Citations roughly doubled on the two established buckets and went from zero to 25% on a new one, and Choicely passed its competitors in citation share of voice inside seven days.
Report against demand
Impressions and position move first, then citations, then the brand named in the recommendation, then signups. Tracking all four in sequence is what turns a visibility win into a forecast rather than a screenshot.
Trials followed, reaching their highest month of the year, with better than a third of the June demo cohort converting to opportunity.
AI search is measurable if you measure the answer itself rather than waiting for a referrer that never arrives. Four readings, in the order they move: cited, named, positioned, and then signed up.
How this was measured · The GEO Stack
The problem. In this category the shortlist is written inside an AI assistant, not on a results page. A buyer asks which tool fits their situation, reads four or five names, and the vendors who were not mentioned never learn they were in the running.
There is no impression, no click and no referrer to audit afterwards. If you do not measure the answer itself, the channel is invisible right up until a competitor owns it.
The fix. We measure the answer directly, running the tracked prompt set across every major engine on a fixed cadence and recording four separate things in the order they move:
The order matters, because it is what makes the channel forecastable. Engines cite a page before they consistently recommend the brand, so citation is the earliest reliable signal and it moves weeks before the demand does.
Every reading is a share of the same fixed prompt set, so the numbers are directly comparable week to week.
Trials are the scoreboard, and they moved with the visibility rather than ahead of it. From the April baseline the channel compounded to 41× by July, the highest month of the year.
The demo cohort that came out of it converted at better than one in three to a real opportunity, and produced a closed customer inside the same month, so this is qualified demand rather than signup volume.
Share of every source the engines cited across the tracked prompt set. Choicely entered below the category leader and passed it inside seven days, the only brand in the set gaining while the rest slipped.
Solid lines are measured; the shaded band carries each current trend forward.
Two of the four buying conversations went from zero presence to named in a week. These are the conversations where a shortlist gets written, not awareness queries.
Where the brand is named it holds the top position of the answer 87 to 88% of the time, so the new visibility arrived as a recommendation rather than a footnote.
Seven days from launch, two buying conversations went from zero presence to named, citations roughly doubled on the two established ones, and Choicely passed its competitors in citation share of voice. The demand followed: trials 41× the April baseline, and better than a third of the demo cohort converting to opportunity.
