TL;DR: Key Takeaway

verdict

Rock The Rankings ranks first for B2B SaaS teams that want organic tied to pipeline. Seer Interactive and iPullRank are the stronger picks when the problem is genuinely technical and analytical, and Siege Media when growth depends on content that earns links. At enterprise scale the failure mode is a migration that costs more than the retainer, so weigh verified review depth and technical capability above everything else.

Key services
  • SEO
  • Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
  • Content strategy and production
  • Link building and digital PR
  • Technical SEO
  • SEO consulting
Pros
  • One program across Google and the answer engines, not an SEO retainer with GEO bolted on
  • A three-scenario forecast published before you sign, and graded monthly after
  • Two-signal attribution that still works when assistants strip the referrer
  • You work with the founder from first call through monthly report
Cons
  • Search only, SaaS only. If you want one vendor for paid, lifecycle, social, and brand, we are not it.
  • There is a 90-day initial commitment, because this compounds.

The criteria, weighted for pipeline.

We reviewed public case studies, client rosters, pricing pages, and third-party reviews. One question outranks the rest: does the agency connect search activity to pipeline you can audit, or does it report traffic and hope you are impressed.

Rock The Rankings is the SaaS SEO agency built around one uncomfortable finding: in a single funnel of 8,307 contacts, the CRM logged 11 AI-attributed leads while 809 buyers named an AI assistant on the intake form. A 73× gap, invisible to every dashboard on the market. That audit became our attribution method, and the method became the program.

We are a compact senior team, one discipline, one customer type. You work one-on-one with the founder from first call to the monthly report, every engagement opens with a three-scenario forecast on your funnel data, and we get graded against it in public. The most recent 90-Day AI Search Program forecast 10 demos and delivered 59.

How we're different than the other agencies on this list

1. We only do SEO (and AI search), nothing else

Every agency pitch deck says "full service". In practice, full service means your budget subsidizes their learning curve in four other channels.

We run one discipline: SEO and LLM search for B2B SaaS. Content strategy, technical, links, and the AI search layer on top of all three. That is the entire menu, and it has been since 2019.

We're not the right fit if you want one agency to run SEO plus paid, social and email.

The depth shows up where it counts: taking Keragon from DR 0 to 68 without buying a single link is not a generalist outcome. It is what a team that does exactly one thing, thousands of reps deep, produces on schedule.

2. We only work with SaaS/Tech, no one else

Nearly every agency on this list "works with SaaS". Most also work with ecommerce, DTC, local services and whoever signed last quarter. Every new vertical resets their playbook to zero, and you pay for the reset. Ours never resets. Same buyer, same funnel math, same page types, every engagement since 2019.

That focus buys you three things on day one:

  • The channel map already exists. We know the publications, review sites and sources that shape your category, because we have already put clients in them.
  • Benchmarks, not guesses. We know what organic growth, content velocity and demo volume look like for a SaaS company at your stage, so we can tell you whether a result is good instead of just reporting that it happened.
  • The money pages are known quantities. Alternatives pages, comparisons, category listicles: we know which page types convert SaaS buyers and which just decorate a traffic chart.

We only take SaaS/tech companies with product-market fit, and we forecast the engagement before we accept it.

The practical difference: you stop spending the first six months of the retainer educating your agency about your own market.

3. No junior account managers. Work 1-on-1 with our founder.

You know the agency bait-and-switch. Senior strategists run the sales calls, then the contract is signed and your account lands with a coordinator two years out of school who has no vested interest in whether you renew. That handoff is structurally impossible here:

  • You work one-on-one with our founder from kickoff to the last call. Not "founder oversight". The founder, doing the work.
  • We cap the number of clients we take each quarter, so nobody's engagement is subsidizing a churn-and-burn roster.
  • The team is compact and senior, with an average tenure of 3.9 years. The person who starts your engagement finishes it.

The receipts match the claim: a 5.0 rating across 13 Clutch reviews, and the reviews name Justin, because clients actually work with Justin.

4. We forecast and expectation set from the get-go. No guesswork.

The standard agency proposal is a canned deck, a price, and a promise to "move the needle". Nothing in it can be graded later, which is exactly the point of writing it that way.

We do the opposite. Before kickoff, we model three scenarios on your funnel data: Conservative, Realistic and Optimistic, each with the content plan, link velocity and pipeline math shown in full. If the model cannot clear a 4× return, we say so on the call and do not take the engagement. Then we grade ourselves against the model in public. WaitWell's program cleared its entire four-month Realistic forecast inside month one and finished at 2.9× Realistic and 7.9× Conservative.

And we count results the hard way: a lead only counts when two independent sources agree on where it came from. When we audited one funnel's "AI-driven" pipeline, 809 self-reported AI leads reduced to 11 the CRM could actually attribute, a 73× gap. We report the 11. Most agencies would have invoiced you for the 809.

You see the forecast before you sign, and you grade us against it every month after.

5. The four SaaS SEO problems we are hired to fix

Almost every SaaS team that calls us is stuck on one of four things. Here is each problem, what actually causes it, and the exact artifact we ship against it.

Problem 01

"We rank, and pipeline didn't move."

The cause: the keyword set was built for volume. You own definitional terms your buyers read once and never convert on, while competitors own the comparison and alternative terms buyers read with a credit card open.

What we ship: a BOFU-first content plan. Alternatives pages, comparisons and category listicles ship before a single blog post, because those are the pages buyers and AI assistants actually decide from. Rasa's first batch targeted shortlist queries only; demo attribution moved with traffic instead of lagging it by two quarters.

Competitor alternatives5BOFUW2–4
Category listicles5BOFUW2–4
Head-to-head comparisons5BOFUW5–9
TOFU blog volumeTOFUNot first

The first pages are money pages. TOFU comes after the revenue layer exists, not before.

Problem 02

"Traffic grew. Demos didn't."

The cause: the agency was graded on sessions, so it optimized for sessions. Rankings landed on terms your buyers never buy from, and the report celebrated a number your CFO cannot spend.

What we ship: pages mapped to shortlist queries, then reporting that grades traffic by whether demand moved with it. Rasa is the reference case: because the first batch targeted only the queries buyers shortlist from, demo attribution moved in the same quarter as traffic instead of lagging it by two.

Rasa · sessions to the shortlist pages, indexed to the January baselineReceipt

Attributed demo requests · Q1 baseline → Q2 2.3×

The quarter closed 804% above the prior quarter, corroborated across two independent analytics properties within 2%. Demos attributed to search and AI grew 2.3× in the same quarter, which is the point: traffic that buyers shortlist from converts in-quarter, not two quarters later.

Problem 03

"ChatGPT recommends our competitors, not us."

The cause: the models answer from third-party sources, listicles, review sites and industry roundups, and your brand is not in them. If the sources the models quote never name you, no amount of on-site content fixes it.

What we ship: a citation baseline across five engines, then targeted pages, placements and brand mentions on the exact sources the models are already quoting for your category. Every blank cell becomes a build target with an owner and a date.

Citation baseline · are you named in the answerArtifact

[use case] platform comparison

From a live kickoff baseline: named in 4 of 20 buying prompts. Lendbuzz ran this play to 21 of 23 tracked themes, 2.3× ahead of the nearest competitor. Pages and mentions are how you fill the rest.

Problem 04

"Half our pipeline shows up as Direct Traffic."

The cause: AI assistants strip the referrer, so a buyer who spent a week comparing vendors inside an assistant arrives looking like they typed the domain from memory. The CRM files them as Direct, and Direct is not a channel. It is the system saying it does not know. WaitWell's classifier filed 42% of demo bookers that way.

What we ship: two-signal attribution. Every contact is read on two signals, the click record and the buyer's own answer on the form, resolved by a written five-case matrix with contacts carrying neither signal reported openly as Dark, never reallocated. Then the recovered channel gets graded against a forecast published before kickoff, so the number is both real and accountable.

Customers tracked the same shape at 3.3× and 8.9×. Before the rule, the classifier filed 42% of demo bookers as Direct, the bucket that means the system does not know. When to pick someone else on this list

We are the wrong choice for plenty of teams, and pretending otherwise wastes your call and ours. Honest routing:

  • You are on Webflow and the site itself is half the project → Veza Digital (#2). Strategy and build under one roof beats coordinating two vendors.
  • You need paid, web and CRO from the same partner → Breaking B2B (#3) from $3k, or Powered By Search (#10) if you are buying the whole demand engine.
  • You have writers in-house and need structure, not execution → Demandwell (#11) or Linkflow.ai (#7). Software plus process, at software prices.
  • You are pre-product-market fit → nobody on this list yet. SEO compounds on top of a working funnel. Fix the funnel first, then come back.

If none of those describe you and organic pipeline is the project, book the call. You will get a forecast either way.

Mini case studies

Rasa: AI search became a demand channel in one quarter

Rasa builds the conversational AI platform enterprise teams use to design, deploy and govern their own assistants. Two problems compounded: the commercial page set buyers shortlist from was losing sessions month after month, and the channel that was working was invisible, because AI engines strip the referrer the CRM classifier depends on.

We shipped bottom-funnel pages against shortlist queries only, built them to be quoted and not just ranked, then read every contact on two signals so the demand could be seen and funded.

One quarter from launch: organic sessions to the shortlist pages up 9× (+804%), attributed demo requests up 2.3× quarter over quarter, and Rasa was the only tracked brand in its category to gain non-branded AI presence while every rival lost ground. The corroborated demand figure ran 12.5× what the analytics classifier credited, reaching 23× in the peak month.

WaitWell: AI search booking demos at 2.9× forecast in four months

WaitWell builds queue management and appointment scheduling software for healthcare, government, education and service counters. The CRM filed 42% of demo bookers as Direct Traffic, the bucket that means the system does not know, so a channel already producing customers looked like it barely existed.

We published a three-scenario forecast before a single page shipped, built best-of and alternatives pages against the shortlist queries, and read every contact on two independent signals.

Four months in: demos from organic and AI search at 2.9× the Realistic forecast and 7.9× the Conservative case, new customers at 3.3× and 8.9×, bottom-funnel Google clicks up 79%, and the money term moved from page two to position 3.7.

Lendbuzz: organic conversions up 200% on a page set that didn't exist a year ago

Lendbuzz underwrites car loans using income, education and employment data rather than a US credit score alone. Buyers describe a situation, not a product, and increasingly they describe it to an AI assistant. Two quarters before this window, the pages that now carry the growth did not exist.

We built a content cluster around the circumstances buyers actually describe, widened onto the highest-value commercial terms as the business repositioned, and measured only what the program is responsible for: key events segmented to organic, on pages we built, homepage excluded.

Result: the two conversion events entering through the built pages up 200% and 276% year over year, organic sessions to those pages up 69×, and Lendbuzz named in 21 of 23 tracked AI answer themes, 2.3× ahead of the nearest competitor.

How to choose

Six questions to ask before you sign.

1

Who has actually run a migration at our scale?

Enterprise SEO fails on migrations, not on keyword research. Ask how many site migrations the named team has run, at what page counts, and what went wrong on the last one. An agency that cannot describe a failure has not run enough of them.
1

What is your published review record, and how recent is it?

Review counts on this list run from zero to 395. Depth matters, but so does recency: one agency here has four reviews spread over six years and a rating dragged down by a single scathing account-management complaint. Read the newest reviews and the worst one before you shortlist.
1

Is enterprise SEO your practice, or your largest client tier?

Most agencies here serve mid-market and call it enterprise. Ask what share of revenue comes from clients above your size, who those clients are, and whether the team that pitched you also runs them.
1

How do you handle a stakeholder map with twelve people in it?

At enterprise scale the constraint is rarely the SEO. It is getting engineering to ship the fix. Ask how they get technical recommendations into a sprint, who they work with on the client side, and what they do when the dev backlog is six months deep.
1

What happens to attribution when AI assistants strip the referrer?

Buyers now research inside assistants and arrive looking like direct traffic. Ask what method the agency uses to recover that demand, whether it is written down, and what they report for contacts carrying no signal at all.
1

Who is on the account after the contract is signed?

This is the single most common failure on this list, and it shows up in the reviews. Ask for names, seniority, and account load. Then ask what happens if that person leaves, because on at least one agency here the published reviews say exactly what happens.

FAQs

Common questions about hiring an agency

If yours is not here, bring it to the call. Same unpolished answer either way.

1

What is the best enterprise SEO agency?

+

It depends on the failure you are trying to fix. For B2B SaaS wanting organic tied to pipeline, we would argue for us, and we published the criteria so you can check the reasoning. Seer Interactive and iPullRank for deep technical and analytical work, Siege Media for content that earns links, WebFX or KlientBoost when review depth and scale matter most.

1

How much does enterprise SEO cost?

+

Almost nobody on this list publishes a price, which is itself informative. Of the 42, only four state a figure: RevvGrowth from $3,000 a month, Scalerrs at $5,000 to $15,000, uSERP from $8,400, and our own tiers from $4,050. Everyone else asks you to book a call.

1

What makes enterprise SEO different from regular SEO?

+

Scale changes the job. The work shifts from writing pages to managing crawl budget, site architecture, migrations, internationalisation, and templates that generate thousands of URLs. The hard part is usually organisational rather than technical: getting a fix shipped through a dev backlog you do not control.

1

How many reviews should an enterprise SEO agency have?

+

Volume is a weak signal on its own. Twelve agencies on this list have no Clutch reviews at all, including well-known names like Terakeet and iPullRank, which tells you they do not chase directory listings rather than that they are unproven. Read the newest three and the worst one instead of counting.

1

How long before enterprise SEO produces results?

+

Longer than mid-market, because the changes take longer to ship. Expect two to three quarters for technical work to show in rankings, and add a quarter if a migration is involved. Content and citation work can move faster, which is why most sensible programmes run both in parallel.

1

How is this list scored, and did you rank yourself first?

+

Seven weighted criteria, fixed before scoring and re-scored quarterly. Yes, we ranked ourselves first. Every entry carries the same fields, the same criteria, and a tradeoff line, including ours, and where a figure is not public we say so rather than filling the gap.
